The MVP (Most Valuable Player) award for Triathlon NSW is an annual recognition given to an athlete or contributor who has demonstrated exceptional performance, sportsmanship, leadership, or dedication within the triathlon community. It's a prestigious award that highlights those who make a significant impact on the sport and the club.
Joana Sponsel is the recipient of this award due to her incredible contribution shes made to our club.
Coming from a background with no triathlon experience, she has embraced the sport wholeheartedly. Through consistent effort, quiet determination and a strong focus on her own training, she has developed into a confident and highly competent triathlete.
But what truly sets Joana apart is the way she supports those around her. She offers encouragement and comfort to members when they need it most, warmly welcomes new faces, and plays a big role in helping people feel like they belong. She is always reliable, consistently showing up to training sessions and leading by example.
Joana embodies the spirit of our club - commitment, growth, kindness and community. We are incredibly grateful for everything she brings to our team.
Congratulations Joana
