Above is our current training schedule. From time to time there may be some changes due to weather conditions or because we just want to spice things up.
It is important that you sign up for each session in the Team App for easy communication and checking the session details (location, time, equipment etc). As soon as you signup as a member we will be in contact about including you in the group.

Monday 6:30am coached
Swim Squad for all levels, must be able to swim 200m without stopping
What you will need : Swim equipment, $20 for pool entry and coaching.
Meeting place: Lennox Aquatic Centre 128 Newyrbar Swamp Rd, Lennox Head

Tuesday 6:30am coached
Running session with a good warm up, technique drills and a main set of intervals. Caters all levels and your preference of intensity on the day.
What you will need : Running equipment, water bottle.
Meeting place: Cavanbah Centre Track, Byron Bay

Wednesday 6:30am coached

Wednesday 6:15am
Cycle Training for the intermediate level triathletes meet for a 40-45km ride. Must be able to ride 40km with 600-700m elevation under 2 hours in a group.

Meeting place: Byron Clock Tower - Jonson St, Byron Bay

Thursday 6:30am
Running Strength session with a good warm up, hill repeats / strength running work.
Interval / hill work suited to your needs for race goals, and or fitness and run training. All levels, ages, abilities welcome.

Meeting place: On the grass next to Byron Surf Club
Pre Race Preparations
Bike and Run Brick sessions to be scheduled within the race calendar and will include transition practice, bike handling skills, pre race discussions.
What you will need : Cycling Equipment (bike, helmet, cycling shoes etc), Running equipment (shoes with quick laces, if possible), Water bottle.

Saturday 6:30am social
Join in for a Social Ride with the Tri Group, organised by a designated Ride Captain. The starting point may vary between Byron, Suffolk Park, Lennox, or Ballina, offering a flexible and enjoyable experience. Distances typically range from 40 to 60 kms, and tri bars are welcome. Occasionally, we mix things up with a warmup ride to the Ballina Coast Park Run, followed by a relaxed return to Lennox. It's a great opportunity to connect, ride at a comfortable pace, and enjoy the beautiful surroundings​

Sunday 7:00am social
Social Run approximately 40-50mins, back in time for the 8am ocean swim. A slightly longer run option - meet at 6:45am and will be back in time to re-group with the 7am runners.
Meeting place: next to the Byron Surf Club deck.

Sunday 8:00am social
Ocean Swim (800m to 1.5km). At 8am we walk on the beach to The Pass. Accompanied by 2-3 experienced open water swimmers. Swim as a group, wait and re-group in the water so no one gets left behind! AND most importantly we meet for a picnic on the grass in front of the surf club after the swim.
