Above is our current training schedule. From time to time there may be some changes due to weather conditions or because we just want to spice things up.

 

It is important that you sign up for each session in the Team App for easy communication and checking the session details (location, time, equipment etc). As soon as you signup as a member we will be in contact about including you in the group.

Tuesday 6:30am coached

Running session with a good warm up, technique drills and a main set of intervals. Caters all levels and your preference of intensity on the day. The program will progress through the season towards targeted events with focused blocks to develop different key elements of endurance
performance (V02max, endurance & stamina, race specificity).

What you will need : Running equipment, water bottle.

Meeting place: Cavanbah Centre
(please check meeting place weekly as it changes depending on session objectives)

Thursday 6:30am coached

Bike and Run Brick sessions including transition practice and bike handling skills. The program progresses through the season towards the targeted events. Coached by Päivi.

What you will need : Cycling Equipment (bike, helmet, cycling shoes etc), Running equipment (shoes with quick laces, if possible), Water bottle.

Meeting place: Cavanbah Centre / The Farm

Friday 6:00-7:00am coached

Swim session with technique and fitness development, including triathlon specific drills and tactic. The program will progress through the season towards targeted events with focused blocks to develop different key elements of endurance performance (V02max, endurance&strength, race specificity). Coached by Päivi.

What you will need: 
Swimming equipment (at least goggles and cap, but preferably also fins, pull buoy and paddles)

Meeting place: 
Lennox Aquatic Centre (128 Newrybar Swamp Road (off Ross Lane) Tintenbar NSW 2478.
Regular entry fee to the aquatic centre Casual Swim Adult $7,60 / 10 Session Swim Pass $66.

Saturday 6:30am social

Social Ride with the Tri group can be organised by any member who wants to get a social ride in. You can also ride with our sister club the Byron Bay Cycle Club (65-100km). Checkout the BBCC facebook page for ride details. This ride departs usually from the Byron Clocktower in Jonson St.

Sunday 8:00am social

Ocean Swim (1-2km). Meeting in front of the Byron Surf Club most often, the location may change from time to time. There can also be an informal run at 7am prior to the swim. Meeting place at the peace pole.



Psst, reserve some time for coffee after the training. We very rarely skip that part!
