Here is our training schedule for the 2020 winter season and there's plenty of sessions to choose from. From time to time there may be some changes due to weather conditions or because we just want to spice things up. We have an active whatsapp group for easy communication. Please, contact us to be included in this group.

Here's more information about our training sessions below. 

Tuesday 6:30am

Run interval training followed by an 800m Ocean swim. The meeting point is at the Byron Peace Pole (next to the surf club). Traditionally the run is to the Lighthouse or an interval session that suits all levels. From time to time we meet at Brunswick Heads for a run and swim in the river. Make sure you check with us beforehand.

 

Wednesday is cycle day.
We ride together with Byron Cycle Club at 6:00am fast pace, 6:15am medium pace or 6:30am easy pace. All rides depart from the Byron Clock Tower Jonson St. Road bike ride.
 

Wednesday 6:00pm
Swim Squad with Andy, our club Swim coach, at the Lennox Aquatic Centre. 

Thursday 6:30am

Winter Trail run 8-10km. During the Triathlon Season (Oct - May) Brick session about 75 mins. Consists of bike/run/bike/run loops with transition practice at “The Farm” in Ewingsdale, meeting point at the car park. This session will alternate occasionally between the Farm and Empire Vale at Wardell.

Friday 6:30am

OR

Ride with the Byron Bay Cycle Club at 6:30am for a no drop ride departing from the Byron Clock Tower in Jonson St.

Friday 6:00pm

End of the week summer fun. This is a handicap event with a 400m swim and 4km run followed by fish n chips. Meeting place is next to the Byron surf club. Please note that this event is subject to the ocean conditions and the location may change.  

Saturday 6:30am

For those wanting to have more time on the bike there is a Social Ride (70-90km) from the Byron Clock Tower with Byron Bay Cycle Club at 7am. Or for those craving some more running, 7am Ballina Park Run is a fantastic opportunity to have a solid 5km run. Sunday 8:00am

Ocean Swim (1-2km). Meeting in front of the Byron Surf Club.
